How deep will the new layer be?
It depends on the R-value you want. Per inch, blown fiberglass rates about R-2.2 to R-2.7, while fiberglass batts rate about R-2.9 to R-3.8. We size the layer to reach your target.
Am I eligible for SRP's attic rebate?
Only if SRP is your utility; homes on APS can't use SRP rebates. Check your power bill first. On SRP, an attic top-up may qualify, and we'll point you to SRP's current terms.

Can the city's weatherization program help?
If your household qualifies, yes. The City of Phoenix Weatherization Assistance Program is free for income-qualified owners and renters, and attic insulation is covered. A four-person household must earn $66,000 or less. You apply with the city.
